This cruise offers excellent sightseeing and adventure ports as it winds its way up the scenic Inside Passage.  Visit Ketchikan, the home of Misty Fjords National Monument, Creek Street, as well as historical & cultural options with the Totem Heritage Center and Saxam Village..  In Juneau, the capital of Alaska, raft by the Mendenhall Glacier or whale-watch, fish,  kayak or pull up a stool at the Last Chance Saloon.  Take a step into Gold Rush history in Skagway and experience the White Pass & Yukon Railroad and other restorations of the Trail of ’98.  The cruise would not be complete without a day in Glacier Bay National Park where park rangers and native speakers share history and legends, as well as point out wildlife and the natural beauty of one of the most special places on Earth.

This is Cindy’s favorite itinerary for those who are interested in experiencing more of the mountain scenery and wildlife of Alaska…Begin the tour in Anchorage and, via the McKinley Rail, journey to Denali National Park for two days to enjoy the wilderness, Mt. McKinley, and the wildlife of the park on the Tundra Wilderness Tour, as well as free time to take in your favorite outdoor activities.  Continue on the rail to Fairbanks and the Riverboat Discovery will be an unforgettable lesson in Alaskan history.  Then motorcoach like never before along the Alaska Highway where great mountain peaks rise in the distance. Go past the St. Elias Mountains and Kluane Lake to Whitehorse, the capital of the Yukon.  Here you have the opportunity to venture out to Kluane National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, home of North America’s second largest mountain, the largest non-polar icefield, and a vast wildlife habitat.  Then, once you think you have seen it all, the White Pass & Yukon Railroad, descends  past waterfalls and jagged peaks into Skagway, where your ship awaits, as did so many vessels who delivered the gold-rushers.  Sail Tracy Arm, and then a relaxing day in Glacier Bay, and take in the wonders of the awesome National Park only accessible by ship and listen for the roar of the glaciers and watch for the breaching whale.  Then finish your tour with scenic & relaxing sailing through the Inside Passage, with a stop at Ketchikan. End your journey  in Vancouver.
